Dunn County Humane Society is really a volunteer-based organization. We rely on staff for the essential and daily care of animals in our care, but little time is left for some of the most important shelter functions.
Our shelter dogs rely on volunteers to brush them, walk them, and spend time socializing with them. Our shelter cats rely on volunteers to play with them, pet and brush them, and help them learn and retain social skills. Volunteer interactions with animals help give them the essential social skills that help them get adopted.
But that’s not all! Our of board of directors are volunteers and so are the hard-working individuals who plan and run our critical fundraising events and programs. Volunteering with the DCHS will help give you a fulfilling, rewarding experience that you can utilize in your career and personal enrichment.
