FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New Adoption Program for Seniors and Veterans at Dunn County Humane Society
Menomonie, WI 7/1/2016—The Dunn County Humane Society has rolled out a new program to encourage adoption of companion animals by veterans and senior citizens. Grants from the Walmart Community Fund and the Menomonie Lion’s Club have made it possible for DCHS to offer a $50 discount on adoption fees for adopters over 65 years of age and veterans (active duty, honorably discharged or retired). The discount is valid on one animal per year.
Those interested in taking part in the program will simply need to go through the normal adoption process for either a dog or cat and specify senior and/or veteran status on the application. This program will help DCHS find more companion animals find their way into loving homes and provide seniors and veterans with loving companions.
For more information on the program please contact Josh Dalton or Amy Peck at the Dunn County Humane Society (715)232-9790.
