Bully Breed Low-cost Spay and Neuter Program

BULLY BREED LOW COST SPAY AND NEUTER PROGRAM

The Dunn County Humane Society has developed a “Bully Breed Low-cost Spay and Neuter Program” (BBLCSNP) designed to reduce the cost of spay/neuter veterinary fees for owners of bully breed dogs (specifically focusing on American Staffordshire Terrier and Pit Bull Terrier breed dogs or mixes thereof).

At the present time, participating veterinary clinics include:

In order to participate in the program, bully breed dog owners are required to:

  • provide proof of residence within Dunn County
  • provide proof of pet ownership (i.e. a pet license, rabies vaccine certificate, microchip registration, veterinary records, etc.)
  • complete a BBLCSNP application form

Financial need is not a factor in qualifying or disqualifying applicants from this program.

Approved applicants of this program may receive a $170 spay voucher for female dogs and a $100 neuter voucher for male dogs. Veterinary fees beyond the voucher limit will be the responsibility of the pet owner.

For more information about this program, please contact Lisa Drenckhahn at the Dunn County Humane Society animal shelter. She can be reached at (715) 232-9790.

Funds for this program have been provided by the DJ&T Foundation.
